Men having Babies

This is why the world is screwed up. A woman decides she wants to be a man. Fine. Takes hormones to turn into a man but refuses to give up her female essence. She / he (not sure if I should say he or she) even decides to follow through and have a baby! Baby was not even conceived naturally. Isn’t this a case of having the cake and eating it?

Can you imagine what this poor baby will have to face? Can you imagine this poor child how screwed she will be?

Yes – the transgendered person (yes, a new word for these screwed up people) had a baby girl (girl for now).

Freedom of Speech

I thought that freedom of speech was a basic human right but apparently there are exceptions to every rule.

Rules have been passed against people saying what they think on T-shirts as it may cause annoyance or inconvenience to some people!

They will soon tell me that I am not allowed my Carper Diem on my blog as it might annoy or be inconvenient to some people.

So, the question is, is this political correctness gone wrong or does it just? prove our ridiculousness?

The 3 R’s

I must say it is quite unusual to find a shop that so strongly believes in the 3 R’s. In case you are wondering what the 3 R’s are, they are – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Personally I am a strong believer in the 3 R’s. I feel we waste too much generally speaking. I mean, I must admit that I am one of the first to buy rather than fix. You see I do feel that when fixing something costs almost as much as a new one, I would rather go with a new one where I know it will be under guarantee and is unlikely to break down in the near future. Besides the cost often justifies buying the new product rather than fix. This does not mean that I do not still try to follow the 3 R rule. I do recycle all my unwanted paper and glass, I try to reuse my plastic bags, I try to buy lose fruit and vegetables rather than heavily packaged and where I can fix at a reasonable cost, well obviously, I fix. Anyway, it is nice to know that there are shops who also try to follow the 3R rule. Makes me feel that little bit better.

Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliment on the 5th November.

Children traditionally since the 18th Centrury have built Guys to be burnt and begged for a “penny for Guy”! This money? used to buy fireworks to “set alight” Guy. However fireworks for under 18′s has become illegal. It feels a bit harsh that we have become so strict a society and care nothing for tradition.

“Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.”

24

I have been watching? a series called 24. It has left me feeling very insecure. They seem to be able to trace people and they seem to be able to know exactly where a person has been and what a person has done over the last few years or even more.

They say America is the land of the free. However, I suspect that it is only “free” on the surface because if they can monitor you constantly then you are no longer free. Big Brother is watching!

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Someone was telling me that it is no longer acceptable to sing Baa Baa Black Sheep as it is not politically correct. I really cannot see what is not politically correct about it.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Have you any wool?

Yes Sir Yes Sir

3 Bags full.

1 for my Master

1 for my Dame

and 1 for the little boy

who lives down the lane!

Honestly what is wrong with that? There are black sheep. And the song is about one of them. What do they propose the song is turned to? Baa Baa white sheep? or Baa Baa sheep sheep? or Baa Baa Neutral Sheep?

Political Correctness gone awry I think!

Gun Crime

It really gets my goat that in the civilized world we have gun crime. When I see kids get killed as a result of gun crime, my blood boils. Apparently it is not ok to punish or smack a child but it is ok to have gun crime.

Until crime gets just desserts (fair sentences) then crime will remain. When someone gets life for killing someone, they should be imprisoned for the rest of their life and not 13 years! After all the person they killed will not wake from the dead because life is now just a number of years!
