Until relatively recently, no-one had ever heard of dyslexia. Dyslexia is a condition where people have trouble reading and writing. Most commonly they? may mix their b’s and d’s and write their R’s backwards, as well as have words jumping around whilst reading.? People who have had problems with reading and writing were in the past simply considered stupid or ignorant and not that they may have a disability such as Dyslexia.

Thankfully today there is help for people who suffer from dyslexia. In fact Dyslexia D offers Free Help for Dyslexia? suffers. So there is no excuse to not get help.

Now there is free online help for people who have dyslexia or simply did not learn to read well while going to school. It is a click-‘n-learn program. Students and adults may learn decoding, basic reading skills, and advanced reading skills all with the click of a mouse.

The program is called ReadingBySix. It provides a systematic approach to helping people defeat dyslexia and related reading problems. You will notice measurable progress from week to week provided participants are active in their studies and do their assignments. The online courses are virtually free when you give a small donation. If you choose not to donate, they are completely free.

Dyslexia is a distinct learning disability characterized by difficulties in decoding individual words. These difficulties may not show up in other cognitive and academic abilities. Dyslexia results from the confusion caused by the brain’s inability to associate abstract symbols with abstract ideas. This includes associating letters and words with the sounds they represent. The key to defeating dyslexia is learning to decode English sounds.

You are invited to review the website and take a few of the courses for practice and learn how the program works. Then use it to teach your children or students to read. It can be used for preschool, home school, grade school, or high school. Students, adults, and children can use it. It teaches reading 100% of the time and it’s all electronic. The co-op also do loans? but with a difference. They claim to do them ethically. Apparently last year they declined £10 million worth of business because it clashed with their ethics. They want their customers to be reassured that the money that they borrowed does not come from profits of unnecessary pollution or human rights violations. They also donated about £3 million to charity.

How they manage that and survive as a business, I have no idea but what I do? know is that they do loans at a reasonable 6.9% APR for loans between £7,500 to £25,000. This is based on the average loan. Which is better than most high street banks!

We all have ambitions and these change as we grow older. More often than not our ambitions mellow rather than increase. As a child I often thought of things such as a Kilimanjaro climb? but as I grew older it became more distant. Ok truthfully I am probably far too lazy and unfit to even consider it, but it is nice to know that if I ever decide to lose my mind, there are people there who can guide me all the way up.

But perhaps for now I will stick to my greatest ambition of all – to bring up my family well!

The idea is fantastic, though I do seem to live in a rather remote area as there seem to be no listings for the Isle of Man. Not a cinema listing nor a local weather report, though there is a promise that one will follow.

The site promises to deliver much but it is still in its infancy…. perhaps one day soon…. !
